It's almost June! We've been so busy in The Space lately working on our marble runs and Rube Goldberg machines. I'm amazed at what I've seen so far.....zip lines taking marbles, using robotics to move the marble, Lego on the wall being used as a maze for the marbles.
Thanks to everyone for continuing to send in items for us to use! We're still looking for cardboard and any other items we could use to build with. Thanks! Mrs.Blanchard

There is a student maker faire coming up on Sunday, June 3rd. Check out this link for more info. If you are a student interested, think of a project you'd like to make and showcase. Lots of good info on this site - https://events.time.ly/zru2nyd?event=10947435&popup=1
We were inspired by this article and music video by the band OK Go for our Rube Goldberg and marble runs..... https://www.kqed.org/mindshift/50829/why-teachers-love-using-those-magical-ok-go-videos-in-class We've been busy creating exciting projects in The Space. We're obsessed with pandas right now and can't wait for the grade 1 and 2 field trip to the zoo on Thursday to see them! The weather has been beautiful so we've created a public art display on our sidewalks to make people passing by smile. We're also creating marble runs and Rube Goldberg machines right now. The creativity never stops in here!
Check out these amazing photos that were sent in for our Capture Calgary photo contest at Rideau Park School! Students from kindergarten to grade 9 were welcome to send in photos for the contest. The goal was to capture Calgary in a photo that represents connection, kindness and or community. Stay tuned for the winners to be announced this week.
