So many exciting projects are happening in our maker space. The grade 2's are displaying their accessible playground that they created. It's a prototype of what they'd like to create in addition to our lovely new playground outside. Ask them what an accessible playground is! We looked at the empathy piece of playgrounds and thinking how we could include children of all ages and with disabilities in our playground design.
Today we had some wonderful grade 9's creating a project out of large popsicle sticks. There's also a number of new provocations and centers to use in there. We have a Buddha Board to write on with water that disappears after time. It's a great way to be creative and also regulate emotions. Draw something that is bothering you and clear your mind from it when it disappears! We have new robots called Ozobots......they are pretty fun to play with. Thanks to everyone for donating items to our space. We're always looking for items that we can repurpose!
