Family Coding Night
Join us for Rideau Park School’s 1st Family Coding Night! Computational Thinking is a problem-solving process that will help prepare children for the future. While it is based on computers, it does not need to be taught or learned on the computer. It is important for children to be able to work with and understand the technology around them. Coding provides our children with the fundamental skills they need to be creators of code; not just consumers of code. It builds numeracy skills, fosters creativity, and helps children become confident problem solvers. Developing computational thinking skills is also part of the new K-4 curriculum that will be implemented in 2020. Bring your family and join us on Tuesday, March 19th between 6:30 – 7:30 pm to try out some exciting hands-on coding activities. We are asking families to sign up on Eventbrite so we have an idea of the number of attendees. https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/coding-at-rideau-tickets-58448961417 We look forward to seeing you there!
